day at the beach

i know, i know! I am getting rather carried away with this 'ideal outfit' craze.
this one… a day at the beach (three guesses where I'm heading off to today!)

How great are these bikinis by the way?? And as you can see my obsession with T-shirt dresses is still at large.

ox blood

Ever since I saw these pictures of ultra babes Alexa Chung and Rumi (fashiontoast) wearing head to toe burgundy I have been rather infatuated with the shade.

This A. Wang leather skirt is at the centre of my infatuation...in all its über simple, leathery glory. I can just imagine the softness of the leather.

enthralled

I have been absolutely enthralled by this collection...

Shown at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin (oh to be the there!) it consists of some phenomenally psychedelic, holographic masterpieces. It is all about the details– like those holographic straps...beautifully simplistic yet ever so striking.

Followers of my tumblr will be well aware of my enthralment, but seeing as I now know (may I add that style.com was absolutely no help at all. Possibly the first time that this fashion data base has failed me) what and where this collection was shown, I thought it only seem fit that I blogged about it.

In other news (goodness– saying that just reminds me of that Big Bang episode where Sheldon and Amy test their 'meme rumour theory') I have been pondering over the purchase of a pair of these babies.  Kinda the perfect spring shoe I feel? And how rad would they look with these two T-by Alexander Wang numbers. Oh so rad!

resort '13 wrap up

I feel like the resort collections this season show a lot of relevance to melbourne winter. it is not often that melbourne weather patterns, in all their waves of shivery/warming glory coincide with what the models are wearing on the catwalks half way around the world.

So, the fact that we winter dwellers can draw inspiration direct from the european, american and british design houses is quite a novelty, and well, quite frankly damn exciting.

Here is a wrap-up of my favourite collections (I am becoming more and more of a fan of the resort collections for their absolute wearability) and the key themes and ideas I will be drawing upon for inspiration when dressing this winter.
