remember that one time...on horse camp?

^Direct quote from this girl in year nine, who ranted for literally the whole year about "that time" on "horse camp". I never went on the bloody horse camp. Probably because I freakin' hate horses. I quite honestly didn't give a damn about what she did on that lame frolicking, hair flicking, pony neighing adventure. I do however have all the time in the world for the relaying of gluten-y experiences from fellow coeliac sufferers.

Let me explain...

...I was traipsing the net like a frolicking pony when i stumbled, awkwardly, galloped, then fell over this damn-freakin-amazing (words-cannot-describe) tumblr. I neighed like a pony who just sucked the hellium out of a balloon, ran around my room and laughed until my buttocks were bruised from all the bopping in my chair. Then I posted it on Facebook.

Anyway, it is called When I Went Gluten Free and basically describes life as a Coeliac-suffering individual. It makes me laugh so much– in a way that only other Gluten-haters are permitted to. I feel like I have this special connection with the creator....what a babe

Here are some of my favourite posts...but seriously, they are all epic so take a look for yourself :)

When I remember to bring a Gluten-free snack on the Airoplane...

When I see the price of Xanthum gum...

When I see the price of my grocery bill...

When I'm walking out of a restaurant because there is nothing gluten-free on the menu...

When I have to list my food allergies to the doctor...

When someone asks for a bit of my gluten free meal...

When I remember to bring my gluten-free soy sauce to the sushi bar...

When someone tells me they went Gluten-free for a week...

When I'm walking past a bakery...

i just had one of those moments when naming this post... you know the scene in Shrek when the Gingerbread man says "Eat ME!" then spits at Lord Farquaad... ahhh so funny!

So here is a little bit of inspo imagery. Inspatron mc gone direct from my tumble dryer (i.e. tumblr beb).

the occurrence of inflamed or infected sebaceous glands in the skin

acne |ˈaknē|

noun
the occurrence of inflamed or infected sebaceous glands in the skin; in particular, a condition characterized by red pimples on the face, prevalent chiefly among teenagers.

There is only room for one muse right now– and Acne is over-consuimg that space like a parasitic rot of epic awesome-ness.
Although I constantly mention Acne, serenade its audacious beauty and spend my waking hours dreaming of pistol boots, I have never actually dedicated an entire post to this enviable brand.
There is something so effortlessly chic about the tailoring, something so unmannerly and beautiful about the sleek simplicity and lack of unnecessary detailing. I find my self craving the refreshingly bare lines and sheer fluidity of shape that is present in the clothes and want nothing more than to be decked out– top to toe in Acne.
I love the confident use of colour and fabric in the fall 2012 collection. The dashes of neon lime settle so delicately next to the deep, musty emerald and soft powder blues. There is a sense of respect to perfect tailoring and dress making skills however, which exudes sophistication. The slight twists and deference from the 'rules' some as such pleasant and refreshing surprises amongst the looks; yet even when the boundaries are pushed there is that reminded of expert knowledge and experience that shines through.

I don't I can discuss Acne without floundering over the phenomenon that is Acne shoes.
The pistol boots are simplicity and perfection in leather form. So delicately chic yet robustly sturdy looking. The heel high is perfect and the stitching even more so.

I cried in envy when blushing ambition posted her resent purchase on tumblr. But then I reblogged them onto my tumblr, where the pictures look so pretty... If I can't have the real thing then I may as well surround myself with pictures. I can dream....

Oh yes, piss off you say.
Stop posting images of your baben tumblr and give me something proper to read.

My eyes are tired of your re-blogged shizzam.

I say...Get over it beb.
Tumblrs just don't get more baben than this.

the cleverest, cutest little devices around

Everytime I see one of these little Apple babies I can't help but smile.
I think they are the cleverest, cutest little devices around, and at only $150 I am having trouble finding a reason not to buy one.

And with free engraving...I am so tempted.

For me it would have to be the silver 16GB, but myriad of available colours are so beautiful one could only dream of owning them all. Get them here

insta-green

Green green green

I am hearting green at the moment– the mossy lime variety to be exact.

My love for this flavoursome hue is oh-so-apparant from my latest instagram posts. I'll let the pictures do the talking, while my legs do the walking ;)

1. My current glass studio project.

2. The most beautiful coffee and colours at coin laundry cafe.

3. The perils of glass studio...whenever I use a Band-aid I cannot help but be reminded of that god-awful story from Andy Griffiths series about the whacky kid with the band-aid stuck to his head...makes me laugh everytime.

4. 'Eye can see you' artwork for glass studio.

5. Outfit... consisting of Gorman pants, Country Road knit, Karen Walker glasses, Tony Bianco boots, and my Fjäll Raven Kanken baby.

6. New (aforementioned) tony bianco boots– like little leather gumboots they are.

7. Caroline Baggi lea bracelet...my latest jewellery purchase from M'oda 'Operandi

8. Another outfit...hand-me-down roll neck, Cheap Monday jeans, Wittner platform oxfords, Katmandu socks and fur bag made by me.

9. My new Kanken baby...say hello!

10. some of my latest glass creations… sand-blasted diamond window and well-done badge
